Our Philosophy

Although Postscriptum is an investment group, the focus of the group is adding value in special situations or in the development of new businesses. Our investment focus is on finding situations where our expertise, especially in energy,  can leverage the financial contributions we make, and we have a preference for investments in very early stage businesses where risks are potentially highest but where returns are most attractive. We have a particular interest in pure development opportunities in the renewable power sector where risk capital is scarce and where our willingness to take early stage development risk brings us a comparative advantage over other investors in this sector.

We are not afraid of working in challenging or unfamiliar countries, and focus much of our attention on markets outside of Western Europe and the United States, but we work always with local partners as we do not pretend to have a comprehensive understanding of each potential market. We seek therefore to find strong local partners with whom can share both financial and operational risk, partners with whom we can co-invest in the businesses in which we participate. 

We welcome approaches from business owners or developers who believe they have projects in which we might have interest.
